Problem: The Apple TV Gem app displays an update message, yet the tvOS app store does not show any updates.
This update issue generally occurs when you are logged out of the tvOS app store.
The best course of action here would be deleting the existing app and then reinstalling it on your Apple TV.
This should force you to log back into the tvOS store where you can then proceed with the update.
To delete the app:
- Select it with your Apple remote, then click and hold on your remote until the app icon starts to wobble.
- Now click on the play button and select delete.
- Once the app is deleted, launch the App store, search for CBC Gem and then reinstall the app
