Some users while accessing CBC Gem via a web browser may experience an error when logging in to their Gem account. The error is described as follows:
After the user enters their credentials (email and password), an error message quickly flashes, the page refreshes, and the user is returned to the CBC Gem main page not logged into their account.
This error occurs when there is a de-synchronization between the user’s computer clock and the actual local time, so the two times do not match up. Synchronizing the computer clock back to the actual local time enables users who have been experiencing this error to log in to CBC Gem successfully.
Please see below for instructions on how to synchronize your computer's clock with the actual time based on your specific operating system.
1. Open Settings on Windows 11.
2. Select “Time & language”.
3. Under the “Date & Time” section, select the “Sync now” button.
Please note, in order to synchronize your computer clock back to the actual time, you will need to be signed in as the administrator on your device.
