The Gem app will appear unavailable for download in the Google Play store if the store's location is not set to Canada.
To check your location:
On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Play Store .
Tap Menu Account Country and profiles.
- Ensure Canada is set as your location
If the country is set to Canada, you may need to delete any data from your Google Play Store and then restart your device.
- Tap and hold on the Play store icon on your Android home screen, and then select App info (or the information icon).
Or you can head to Settings > Apps > Google Play Store.
- From here, tap on Storage and then select Clear Data
Once you have done this, shut down your device for a minute.
Once you have restarted it, launch the Google Play Store and try accessing the CBC Gem app once again.
