What if you choose not to create a free Gem account?
If you don't wish to sign in or create a free Gem account, you will still have access to the following content on Gem:
- Ad-free kids programming
- Trailers for video on demand content or films
- Select live news and sporting events
Creating your account
To create your Free Gem account just head over to the CBC Gem website and select the Create an Account option on the top right corner of the screen.
Next, select Create an Account found near the bottom right of the screen.
Then, select Create a Free CBC Account.
Enter your email address into the Email Address field.
When done, select Continue.
From here, enter a password into the password field.
When done, select Continue.
From here, fill in the mandatory fields.
When done, select Create Account.
Next, activate your account, by entering the verification code sent to your email.
When done, select Validate code.
You can also create an account from most of the devices the Gem app is supported on.
