Logging in to the Gem app for Xbox One, Series S or Series X
We're happy to announce the addition of the CBC Gem app for Xbox.
The following instructions will help guide you through the ways you can log in:
Locate and select the Sign In button on the top right corner of the screen.
On the following screen select Sign In from the bottom of the screen.
Selecting the Sign In button will take you to the CBC Gem login options screen.
From this screen you have two options of how you can sign into Gem:
Using the onscreen virtual keyboard, enter your Gem credentials into the provided Email and Password fields.
Next, select the Sign In button.
Once your credentials have been accepted, you will be logged into CBC Gem.
Information on using the Xbox controller with Gem can be found here.
This option will allow you to sign into Gem using a second device such as a mobile phone or tablet rather than using a remote or controller.
Scan the QR code with your mobile device’s camera.
Alternatively you can head directly to activate.cbc.ca on any supported web browser.
This will launch a browser on your device where you will be taken to the Gem login options screen.
From this screen you have the option of signing in using the email address associated with your Gem account, or by selecting one of two social login options (Apple, or Google).
Select Sign in with CBC to log in using the email address associated with your Gem account.
Next, enter your Gem email address into the Email address field.
When done, select Continue.
You will then need to enter your password in the Password field

Once you have successfully logged in you will need to input the six character code which is displayed on your tv screen onto your mobile device.
If the code is accepted and pairing is successful, you will then be logged into the Gem app on your Xbox.
