Having trouble with your newsletter subscription? Here are some answers to questions our readers ask most frequently. If you have other questions that we haven’t addressed, please contact us through our help desk.
Why am I no longer receiving my newsletters?
There may be several reasons why your newsletter delivery stopped. Let’s start by checking your spam or junk mail folder. Your email provider may have mistakenly identified our newsletter as spam. Select the email and choose the “Not Spam” or “Not Junk” option. To be safe, add our email address to your contacts to ensure our newsletters won’t be filtered to the wrong folder again.
If you’re still not receiving your newsletters, let us know and we’ll do our best to sort out the problem and resume delivery as quickly as possible.
I tried to subscribe to a newsletter but nothing happened
Try logging into your account on our subscriptions page. Select the “Login” button in the top-right hand corner of the page. If you can’t remember your password, select the “Forgot Password” option to reset. Once you’re logged in, you will be able to select the “+” symbol to subscribe to any of the newsletters we offer.
If this still doesn’t work, sign out of your CBC.ca account, clear your browser’s cache and cookies and try signing back in to set your subscription preferences.
How do I unsubscribe from a newsletter?
At the bottom of each newsletter, you’ll find an unsubscribe link that will allow you to terminate your subscription. Alternatively, you can also log into your account on our subscriptions page. Tap or click the “subscribed” button for the newsletters you’d no longer like to receive.
How do I change the email address where I receive my email newsletters?
Using the email address you used to create your CBC account or sign up for a newsletter, visit our subscriptions page. Select the “Login” button in the top-right hand corner of the page. If you can’t remember your password, select the “Forgot Password” option to reset.
Once you’re logged in, select your avatar in the top right-hand corner, next to the search button. Select “My Profile” and then “Settings”. Type your new email address in the email field. Hit the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the screen.
You can change your email address in the Member Centre, on the Profile page https://www.cbc.ca/account/profile
How do I make sure that my newsletters don’t appear in my spam/junk folder?
Add our email address to your contacts to ensure our newsletters won’t be filtered to the wrong folder. If your newsletter does end up in your spam folder, select the email and choose the “Not Spam” or “Not Junk” option.
What other newsletters do you offer?
You’ll find a complete list of all of our newsletters -- including news, documentaries, comedy and more -- on our subscription page.
You can see all the newsletters you're subscribed to in the Member Centre: https://www.cbc.ca/account/newsletters
Will my email address be sold to an external company?
No. We fully abide by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and we will never sell or share your information.
