If you’re using the Mozilla Firefox browser, you may notice that ad banners sometimes overlap page content on CBC.ca, making it difficult to read.
This can happen because Firefox uses a built-in privacy feature called Enhanced Tracking Protection. In some cases, this feature can interfere with how page elements—like ad banners—are displayed.
We’ve found that disabling Enhanced Tracking Protection for CBC.ca resolves this issue.
You can turn this setting off for CBC.ca only (it will remain enabled for other websites) by following the steps below:
- Open the website: CBC.ca
- Select the shield icon to the left of the address bar.
- Toggle Enhanced Tracking Protection → OFF
- The page will reload automatically
CBC.ca will now be added as an exception, and the content should display correctly.
