With a CBC account, you can personalize your experience on CBC.ca by selecting up to five cities or towns you want to follow.
How to select your cities or towns
Go to CBC.ca/news and sign in to your CBC account.

Scroll down to the Your Local News section and select Follow a city or town.

Select the city or town you want to follow. You can use your current location or search for a city or town by name. You can select up to five cities or towns.

Select Save & Close.
Your selected locations will be saved to your CBC account and used to personalize your experience on CBC.ca.
How your selections personalize CBC.ca
Your selected cities and towns will be used to personalize the following sections:
Your Local News
Your Local News displays news from the cities or towns you follow.
For example, if you follow Regina, Toronto, and Edmonton, those locations will appear in Your Local News section.
Select a city to view the latest articles and news from that location.
Shorts
Select the For You filter in Shorts to see personalized short videos based on the cities you follow, along with other recommended content.
Must Watch
Select the For You filter in Must Watch to see personalized video recommendations based on the cities you follow, along with other recommended content.
Provincial News
The Provincial News section displays stories from the provinces where your selected cities are located. For example, if you follow Toronto, this section will show news from Ontario.
