NOTICE: Password Reset Issues
We are currently investigating an issue where some users are encountering an error message when attempting to update their passwords.
If you encounter an error after selecting the Reset Password button provided in the reset confirmation email, please copy and paste the long url located at the bottom of the email into your browser's address bar. Following this link should allow you to complete the password reset process without any issue.
You possess a single CBC account which is recognized across several of our digital products, including CBC Gem, CBC Listen. and CBC News. Updates made to your password will therefore be applied universally.
How to reset your password
If you’ve forgotten your CBC account password, you can reset it through the CBC Account Centre.
To begin, open the link below in your web browser:
https://www.cbc.ca/account/login
When the window opens, select "Sign in with email".
Next, enter your email address associated with your CBC account and select "Continue".
Then, select the "Forgot password?" option.
From here, select "Send link".
A reset password email will then be sent to you. This email contains a "Reset password" link you need to select in order to reset your password.
Please note - If you do not receive your reset password email within a few minutes, check your email account's junk or spam folder.
After you have selected the reset password link, a window will appear where you can create your new password. Once you have entered your new password and selected "Reset password", you should be all set. You will now be able to log into your CBC account with your new credentials.
