Using CBC content
CBC content is copyrighted. You must apply to license CBC content for other uses. This includes all of the following scenarios:
- Creating and using/posting a translated version of CBC content. CBC must provide or approve the translation. There is a charge for this service;
- Licensing content to publishing companies;
- Using content on behalf of a non-profit organization or community newsletter;
- Including CBC video, audio, still photos or text into new content you are creating.
If you wish to use CBC content in any of the ways noted above, you must license the content. First, review this information in this FAQ article before you contact our Sales, Licensing and Partnership team for more details and/or to order.
Linking to CBC content
You may freely link to CBC.ca articles from your site. To do so, grab the headline and first sentence of the article and use them as the link through to the full article on our site. You may not use any images, interactive website content, or graphs for this purpose due to copyright reasons.
