No. For security reasons, you must enter your password in the Alexa app. You can begin the process using voice command, and a notification will be sent to your app to continue.
I’m already signed into the CBC Listen app. Do I still need to link my account?
Yes. The CBC skill and CBC Listen app are separate services. Linking your account allows Alexa to access your bookmarks.
I don’t see the “Link Account” option, what should I do?
Ensure the CBC skill is enabled. If it is already enabled, select Settings on the skill page to locate the option.
The login page won’t load, what should I do?
Ensure you have a stable internet connection and that your mobile browser is up to date. Clearing your browser cache may also resolve the issue.
Accessing Your Bookmarks
Once your account is linked, you can access your bookmarks using voice commands.
Step 1: Say: “Alexa, ask CBC to play my bookmarks.” Alexa will confirm the number of saved bookmarks and read the most recent title.
Step 2: Select your content.
- Say “Yes” to play the current bookmark
- Say “Next” to hear the next title
Step 3: Browse your list. Continue saying “Next” until you find the content you want. Alexa will prompt you when you reach the end of your bookmarks.
Why does Alexa say I need to link my account?
Your bookmarks are tied to your CBC account. Linking ensures your content is available across devices.
