Submitting a news tip and/or story idea:
If you have a breaking news tip or local story to send us, your first stop is your regional newsroom.
Using a computer, click on "LOCAL" at the top of most CBC.ca pages. Select your region, then click on "CONTACT US" near the top of the regional website page. You should see a list of newsroom numbers.
We've also provided links to contact information for local CBC newsrooms at the bottom of this page.
Stories for CBC to investigate:
Information on submitting story ideas to Marketplace or the fifth estate can be found on their websites.
You can also submit your story to CBC's Go Public – an investigative news segment that holds the powers that be accountable. If your story is in the public interest, the Go Public team will review it to see if it is something they can tackle.
If you want to reach us in a more secure and confidential way, you can use CBC’s SecureDrop system. Send your information "to the attention" of any specific CBC programs, reporters, or simply to "CBC Investigations."
