We can confirm that an issue recently surfaced with our CBC gem apps for Android, Android TV, and Fire TV which affected some of our subscribers.
Attempting to log into Gem using email or social login did not work, and either looped users back to the login screen or popped up a grey window containing no information.
The good news is that our engineers quickly identified the issue and we have released an update for the Gem app.
Version 9.29.3 of the app should be available for download now in each device's app store.
If you do not see any updates, or the update does not fix your login issue, we would recommend deleting the currently installed app from your device, powering it off for a minute, and re-installing the Gem app once you have powered it back on.
