When I play a podcast or CBC Radio on my Alexa device, it plays through TuneIn. Why is that?
To listen to CBC programming through the CBC skill, say, “Alexa, ask CBC to play [podcast name] or CBC Radio.” This brings you directly into the CBC skill which has the full range of CBC programs, podcasts and playlists.
How do I play CBC Radio on Alexa?
Try saying, “Alexa, ask CBC to play live radio,” and you’ll be given the option to play CBC Radio One or CBC Music. You can also add your city or timezone to the end of the sentence to make sure we play your local station.
For example,
- Alexa, ask CBC to play Radio One
- Alexa, ask CBC to play Radio One Toronto
- Alexa, open CBC and play CBC Music
- Alexa, open CBC and start playing CBC Music Eastern
