If you see an audience contribution that you believe contravenes the Submission Guidelines, please report it!
As a member of a CBC online community, we encourage you to help us maintain a welcoming environment. You can do so by clicking ‘Flag’ on such comments. This alerts the moderators to take another look at the comment, and if required, escalate it to senior management for review. If necessary, the comment may be removed entirely.
We also ask that you not respond to members who you perceive to be engaging in ways counter to our Submission Guidelines. The flagging process is the most efficient and effective means of triggering a review.
NOTE: You will need to be logged into your account to see and use the 'Flag' button.
Once you are logged into a CBC.ca account, follow the three steps below:
- Find the comment to be ‘Flagged’.
- Click on the three horizontal dots (to the right of the up/down votes buttons).
- A "Flag" icon & link will appear. Click it, if you’re not logged in, you will be prompted to Log in via the box provided. Then a little ‘flag’ will be displayed to the left of the three dots. The comment will be sent to a queue for a moderator to review. The act of flagging cannot be undone by you.
REMINDER: to see if the comment is ‘Disabled’, wait at least 30mins and then refresh the page.
