Where can I watch NHL hockey?
Regular-season games can be seen on CBC TV via satellite, cable or over-the-air reception as well as on CBC TV channels streamed on CBC Gem, the national public broadcaster's streaming service.
Playoffs will not be available on CBC Gem or the CBC Gem apps, but can be seen only on CBC TV through over-the-air television, cable or satellite distribution.
CBC will no longer be streaming Hockey Night in Canada games directly on cbcsports.ca.
CBC Gem is available free as an app for iOS/iPadOS (iPhone and iPad), tvOS (Apple TV), Android (phones and tablets), Android TV (NVIDIA Shield and select Smart TVs), Fire TV (Amazon Fire TV Stick and select Smart TVs), Samsung Smart TVs (select models), LG Smart TVs (select models), Xbox (One/S/X). And we are pleased to announce the recent launch of CBC Gem on Roku.
Gem is also accessible on PC or Mac via web browser at gem.cbc.ca
Note - You may experience issues streaming on other operating systems (Linux, Chrome OS). You may also experience issues accessing Gem on Smart TV and gaming console web browsers. If you wish to stream CBC content to your television from a mobile device, this can be achieved via Apple AirPlay or Google Chromecast. Can I watch NHL hockey from outside Canada?
Due to rights and licensing agreements some sports content, including NHL hockey, is not available outside of Canada on CBC platforms. Please see here for more information about accessing audio and video programming available outside of Canada.

Are the hockey broadcasts available in 4K HD?
Although Sportsnet offers 4K HD broadcast streams for Hockey Night in Canada, unfortunately, CBC doesn't offer 4K HD. Our broadcast streams are 720p or 1080p depending on the platform used.
